TAV PROMOTES A NEW FLIGHT FROM OHRID TO ZURICH WITH GERMANIA FLUG AG
TAV Airports, through its Marketing Department from Istanbul, completed the negotiations with the Swiss based airline Germania Flug AG, for introducing regular flights from Ohrid to Zurich. This destination will be added to the schedule of ‘St. Paul the Apostle’ airport immediately and flights will commence on December 17th. These flights are done in cooperation with the tour operator Air Pristhina and are already bookable on www.airprishtina.com.
According to the agreement between TAV and Germania, the airline will have one weekly flight during the 2016/17 winter season and two operations per week in the summer of next year. Representatives of Germania recently visited Macedonia and had meetings with TAV Airports Marketing Department representatives and TAV Macedonia management.

We expect this route to serve as a good connection between Macedonia and Switzerland, as well as a link between Germany, notably its southern part, and Switzerland to Macedonia as a final destination - stated Serkan Karahatay, TAV Airports Marketing Coordinator.
This is part of the marketing activities TAV Airports is permanently undertaking in order to expand the route network on both Macedonian Airports – Skopje Alexander the Great and Ohrid St.Paul the Apostle. Recently, Polish and French tour operators visited Macedonia and Ohrid on TAV’s invitation, with the same goal – establishing new routes and boosting air traffic at Ohrid Airport.

Germania Flug AG, which is headquartered in Glattbrugg Zurich, was founded in August 2014. Following its maiden flight in March 2015, the airline operates services to a range of holiday destinations, and to destinations in the Balkan region (full charter).
In the first 10 months of 2016 TAV Macedonia had a 16% increase in the number of passengers at both airports – Skopje Alexander the Great and Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle, compared to the same period last year, reaching a total of 1.534.591 passengers. In the same time period, from January until October 2016, the number of take-offs and landings at both Macedonian airfields has also been increased by 11%, to total of 14.406 flights.
