Management Message
During the past 25 years, TAV become one of the leading brands in airport operations. Today we are operating 15 airports in eight countries, and together with our service companies, our global footprint reaches 90 airports in 29 countries.
Thanks to our unique business model and extensive know-how, we are able to offer the best solution for different airport projects all around world.
Our success amid numerous crises over the years is the result of the efforts of our 33 thousand employees, who have united for a single goal, under the leadership of our founding partner Sani Şener.
As the new management team, we will continue working towards carrying TAV forward with the same excitement.
We managed to come out stronger from the pandemic, which caused the biggest crises in the history of aviation. Adding Almaty to our portfolio and extending our concession in Antalya to 2052 together with our partner Fraport during this period have been two crucial achievements for our long-term growth.
As the global traffic recovery gains pace and nears pre-pandemic levels in 2022, TAV continues to stay ahead of the curve thanks to our balanced portfolio.
We are closely following new opportunities in our target regions of Middle East, Africa, Balkans and CIS countries. As a growth-oriented company, we will continue adding new airports to our portfolio.
As a part of Groupe ADP, the largest airport management platform globally, we have a presence at 125 airports in 50 countries. In the coming days, our aim to strengthen the culture of collaboration and innovation within the group. We will create increased synergies in areas of passenger experience, digitalization, operational efficiency, and corporate social responsibility.
Aviation has witnessed an impressive growth in since the second half of the 20th century, as one of the driving sectors of globalization. The global passenger traffic was 100 million in 1960 and it reached 4.5 billion as of 2019.
Despite periods of stagnation, globalization will continue as a trend and we are confident that growth will continue, especially in our target markets.
Notwithstanding, we are faced with the immense challenge of climate change and the decarbonization of the global economy. As we move our airports towards the “net zero emission” goal, we will collaborate with our industrial partners to overcome this challenge.
Passenger satisfactions remains at the core of our actions as we move forward to achieve our goals.
We will work to create the highest possible value for our stakeholders, to achieve a responsible and sustainable growth and for the protection of the environment.
Our top priority will remain to ensure the happiness of our employees, in order to realize these goals. The course towards our goals will continue to create new opportunities for the personal and professional development of our employees.
TAV have redefined the airport business and pioneered the creation of a new industry when it was established back in 1997.
Even though we are living in a very different world today, our main approach stayed intact. An airport can only be imagined by looking into the future. We are always looking ahead and shaping the future of airports, today.
