TAV Airports and the Government Welcomed Turkish Airlines’ Inaugural Flight from Istanbul to Ohrid Airport
TAV Macedonia, TAV Airports subsidiary, this afternoon welcomed the inaugural flight of Turkish Airlines from Istanbul to Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport, marking the launch of this new route that will connect both cities, four times a week.
The first flight of the Turkish flag carrier from Istanbul to Ohrid landed at 14:40h.
TAV Macedonia welcomed the passengers with token gifts featuring ajvar, Ohrid makalo, and Ohrid landmarks postcards.
TAV Airports CEO Serkan Kaptan, TAV Macedonia General Manager Nejat Kurt, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski, and the Ambassador of Turkiye Fatih Ulusoy welcomed Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Ekşi, with whom they cut the ribbon marking the launch of this route.

Turkish Airlines will operate this route every Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, with A320 aircraft, with 182 seat capacities, providing passengers with convenient travel options and world-class service.

This new historic route Istanbul – Ohrid – Istanbul, will strengthen, and enhance the link between Istanbul, one of the world’s most important aviation hubs, and Ohrid, a UNESCO-listed heritage city known for its rich history, cultural significance, and breathtaking natural beauty.
