AS OF TOMORROW: COVID-19 TESTS FOR TRAVELING AVAILABLE AT OHRID ST. PAUL THE APOSTLE AIRPORT
With the start of the summer flights schedule at Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport and due to the requests by many countries for a mandatory negative Covid-19 test as a precondition to get onboard, TAV Macedonia together with Zan Mitrev Clinic and its Laboratory for Genetics now provide the opportunity for COVID-19 tests for traveling, rapid antigen tests performed at Ohrid Airport shortly before passenger’s departure.
Starting as of tomorrow, Saturday, May 8th, Zan Mitrev Clinic COVID-19 Test Center is deployed at Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport, and it is located in the immediate vicinity of the terminal building entrance.
COVID-19 Test Center of Zan Mitrev Laboratory will be open at Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport every day when there are flights to countries that require negative rapid antigen test, four hours before departure time to each of the destinations.
With this advantage now available at Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport, beside the implemented COVID-19 health and safety measures and new airport protocol, TAV Macedonia, as an airport operator, is accomplishing yet another objective aimed at safe travels.
Zan Mitrev Clinic COVID-19 Test Center would provide a convenience to our passengers traveling from Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport, especially to EU/Schengen destinations, so that they have enough time to do a rapid antigen test before entering the airport terminal building and completing the airport procedures, unless they already have negative COVID-19 test done before their arrival at the airport.

If passengers decide to perform a rapid antigen test at Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport, and in order crowding and grouping to be avoided in front of the airport terminal building, we appeal passengers to arrive at the Airport at least 4 hours before departure time.
At the moment, rapid antigen tests, approved by WHO, can be performed at Ohrid Airport by Zan Mitrev Clinic COVID-19 Test Center. For all other COVID-19 tests, we urge passengers to perform it in an authorized laboratory prior they arrive at the airport.
Given the current situation that the EU/Schengen countries are constantly changing COVID-19 related travel rules and considering the fact each country independently makes changes in terms of travel restrictions for the citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia, we appeal to travelers to check, before their trip, the latest requirements with their airline and the Embassy of the country they are planning to travel to.
