TAV Airports: A new chapter begins for Ohrid airport – modernized facilities now in operation, offering improved conditions for passengers, airport employees and stronger connectivity with Europe and the world
TAV Macedonia, a subsidiary of TAV Airports and a member of Groupe ADP, today marked the opening for use of the modernized section of Ohrid St. Paul The Apostle Airport at a ceremonial event. With an investment of €2.7 million, the airport now offers upgraded facilities and modern spaces designed to provide better experience for both passengers and employees.
With this project, Ohrid Airport now features larger and more modern passenger areas, improved working conditions for employees, and increased operational capacity. A total of 3,364 m² of the terminal building have been renovated and adapted, with expanded check-in, security and passport control areas, gates, baggage reclaim area, as well as arrival and departure areas. At the same time, the administrative building has also been expanded, providing new and improved working conditions for employees, Border Police and Customs officers.
With its modernized facilities, Ohrid Airport is ready for the next phase of growth – welcoming more passengers, creating more opportunities, and further strengthening Ohrid’ s and the region’s connectivity with Europe and the world said Serkan Kaptan, TAV Airports CEO.

The reconstruction comes at a time of record growth for Ohrid Airport. During the first eight months of 2026, the airport handled 232,421 passengers, representing a 26.5% increase compared to the same period last year.
In August alone, St. Paul the Apostle Ohrid Airport handled 57,239 passengers, an increase of 33.8% compared to August 2025. A total of 425 aircraft movements were recorded, representing a 15.2% increase compared to the same period last year.
During the summer season, Ohrid is connected to 17 destinations through eight airlines, while July 2026 was the most successful July in the airport’s history.
